DJ Kentaro – Fiddlers, Bristol, UK.

Just got back from seeing DJ Kentaro at the Fiddlers in Bristol.

An outstanding night of turntablist perfection, the reasons why this DJ is a DMC Champion are clear to see. The set was heavy, covering styles from the in house favourite breakcore right through to old school electro hip-pop (Axel F anyone?). Although it would have been nice to see more of the DVD/Visual mixing that this mixer has become known for it has to be said the performance was flawless in it’s delivery and packed full of energy; if you get a chance to see this guy play, then do it – to my knowledge this night was one of only a few UK dates and then he’s gone so do some research and make the effort.

The Fiddlers is an excellent venue, from door staff and bar staff right through to the sound engineers. Not forgetting a big up for the sound-system itself, with a set as complex and detailed as Kentaro pulled, the soundstage was crystal clear and thunderously loud.

Can you tell I had a good time

Big up: Parasite, Anakissed & Charlie
